We all know that our anatomy plays a large role in the way that we use Brazilian Jiu-jitsu.

If you have long legs, you’ll normally favor triangles. Short strong arms, kimuras.

But does that mean that you’re destined to only play those moves? Does your body dictate what techniques you’ll use ultimately?

I think it’s sort of Yes and No.

And this is the question Adam brought up one night after training. He asked essentially is it nature or nurture. And if he was to train at another Brazilian Jiujitsu gym. Would he still favor the same techniques in BJJ?

This is just a little candid extra stuff I figured I’d share.

Thanks!
