Sanderson was in the corner David Taylor’s 86 KG finals match against J’den Cox, and the third match of the best-of-three series seemed to anger the Nittany Lions both on the mat and in the corner. Taylor lost his best-of-three series, losing two matches to one, including a controversial and close third match that saw some questionable officiating that went against Taylor.
Taylor pointed at the official to show his displeasure, and asked his coaches in the corner to throw the challenge block onto the mat. His head coach, Sanderson, decided to take it a step further, and threw the block at the referee, along with a towel. After that, Sanderson threw a chair onto the stage, and was ejected for all of his throwing efforts.
