Getting caught in Kesa gatame just really is unpleasant. And the better the guy is a Kesa Gatame – the more pressure you are going to feel, the harder you will find it to breathe. You will feel like your ribs are being crushed and you are seconds from tapping many different submissions. But you can change the tables. That’s the great thing about Jiu Jitsu. You can metaphorically go from broke to rich in seconds – if you know the right moves. This stuff is basic. But it does not make them simple or to be ignored by the higher belts. On the contrary – the longer you are in Jiu Jitsu the more refined these ‘basics’ will become. You might call them ‘fundamentals’. Anyway guys, check out this video and give it a try on the mat.
