We recently saw former UFC Champion Josh Barnet submit world ADCC Champion Dean Lister in Metamoris with a headlock. This is a rare submission that we don’t often see in BJJ or MMA. We do often see it in street situations thus making the escape very important for Self Defense. In competition if your opponent opponent is well versed in the Headlock you may find yourself in a serious finish situation. Preventing the headlock all together is always best but if you do find yourself in this situation here are a few moves that will help get you out of this powerful hold.
