The two legends of MMA have duked it out 3 times in the past: Couture won the first one via TKO at UFC 43 in 2003. Liddell won the rematch via KO at UFC 52 in 2005. The trilogy match was also won by Liddell, again via KO, at UFC 57 in 2006. The third event got 400k pay per view buys, setting a new league record.
